Getting Started
Do you work fully in English?
Yes. All communication, drawings explanations, budgets and approvals can be handled in English. We also speak Polish with suppliers and building management on your behalf.
How do we start our interior design project?
Book a free 30‑minute consultation. Bring developer drawings (if available) and any inspiration or constraints. After the call we outline scope, fees, draft timeline and next steps.
Can you begin interior design before I get the keys?
Yes. We typically start with developer drawings and, if needed, arrange a site measure once access is possible. Early planning helps avoid delays once you receive the keys.
Do you work with foreign buyers who don’t speak Polish?
Every day. We coordinate quotes, deliveries and site supervision, and we translate or summarise supplier communication so you can approve in English.
Can you help if I’m still abroad?
Yes. Many clients are outside Poland during design and build. We manage everything and keep you updated with weekly photo/video reports and clear approval checklists.
Interior Design Process & Timelines
How long does a typical project take?
Design: ~6–8 weeks (discovery, concept, detailed drawings, finishes schedule, quotes & deposits).
On‑site build: ~8–14 weeks after keys (kick‑off, installations, supervision, deliveries, snagging & handover).
Exact timing depends on scope, lead times and building regulations.
What happens during the interior design stage?
We confirm the brief and budget, develop concept and layout options, then produce technical drawings (electrics, plumbing, elevations), a finishes schedule and obtain supplier/contractor quotes for approval.
What happens during the build stage?
We coordinate contractors, oversee installations, track deliveries, and run site checks. You receive weekly updates in English. We finish snagging before handover.
Can timelines be shortened?
We will always look for efficiencies, but lead times for custom cabinetry, stone, glass and certain fixtures etc. often set the pace. Early decisions and deposits are the best accelerators.
Budgets & Costs
What budget levels do you work with?
We tailor design and specifications to your budget. For full finishing of a typical apartment, we present options from cost‑efficient through premium so you can choose where to invest (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms, floors, built‑ins).
What’s included in the budget you show me?
An itemised estimate covering labour, finishes and fixtures, cabinetry, bathrooms, lighting, doors, paint, and contingencies. You’ll see unit prices and totals before building starts.
How do your fees work?
Interior design and project‑management/supervision are invoiced by Westhouse Interiors; trades and materials are invoiced by suppliers/contractors. We explain all fees up‑front and stage payments by milestones.
Can you work to a fixed maximum?
Yes. We align scope to your ceiling budget and use an approvals list, so nothing proceeds without your OK.
Do you pass on trade discounts?
Where available, we apply negotiated rates or preferred pricing; value varies by supplier. We’ll show you the net numbers you’re paying so it’s transparent.
Working in English
Can contracts and invoices be in English?
We will prepare our documents in English and help arrange bilingual or English‑friendly documentation with suppliers where possible. If a vendor is Polish‑only, we’ll translate the key points for you.
Do suppliers speak English?
Many do; when they don’t, we handle communication in Polish and send you English summaries for approval.
How are approvals handled?
We use a simple checklist with links to drawings, product sheets and prices. You approve in writing (email or form), and we proceed.
Materials and Sourcing
Do you help choose finishes and fixtures?
Yes. We curate options that fit your brief and budget (floors, tiles, sanitaryware, lighting, paint, cabinetry, worktops, hardware). Showrooms visits or remote selections are both possible.
Can you source both cost‑efficient and premium options?
Absolutely. We’ll show tiered selections so you can compare look, durability and price.
Do you handle deliveries and storage?
We schedule deliveries to site where possible. For early purchases, we’ll coordinate with suppliers or recommend storage solutions.
Permits, Buildings and Neighbours
Do I need permission from the building or developer?
Most buildings require renovation notification and adherence to quiet hours. We’ll guide you through the building’s rules and coordinate any required paperwork.
Can you help with building‑management communication?
Yes. We correspond with management and contractors in Polish, and provide you with updates in English.
Remote Clients and Handover
I’m overseas. Can you finish everything while I’m away?
Yes. Many clients hand us the keys (or developer pickup authorisation). We manage end‑to‑end and hand back a move‑in‑ready apartment.
How often do you send updates?
Weekly photo/video updates as standard, with extra check‑ins at key milestones (rough‑in completion, cabinetry install, final fixtures).
How do you handle keys and access?
We can collect keys from the developer/agent, maintain a site access log, and return keys on completion with a handover pack.
Do you provide a snag list and documentation?
